There are seven candidates looking to overthrow incumbent Kyle Rae as councillor of Ryerson's Ward 27. With students being urged to get out and vote today, RyersOnline takes one last look at the candidates vying for our vote.
Rob Bezanson
Interesting fact: Rob opened a community centre for youth at age 15.
"I am a strong believer that students should not pay for pubic transit when they are going to school," he told the Ryersonian.
Susan Gapka
Interesting fact: She's a student herself. Susan is enrolled in a honours program in Public Policy & Administration at York.
"Through this participatory governance process we will be able to work together to empower people and develop strategies that work within our own communities," she says on her website.
Carol Golench
Interesting fact: Carol has actually lived in this ward for more than 20 years.
"We need to develop local business through local events," she told Inside Toronto.com
Cam Johnson
Interesting fact: He sits on the board of a non-profit children’s literacy society which provides books to schools, libraries and other charitable groups.
"Other cities can do it. There’s no reason Toronto can’t," he told the Ryersonian on why students should get discounts on public transit.
Gary Leroux
Interesting fact: He has taught at Ryerson in the past and now teaches with the Department of Design at York.
"We have an Official Plan that gives a clear vision of the city and that needs to be enforced. Right now, we have big boxes of cement or glass and they're being pushed right to the streetscape," he told Inside Toronto.com.

Kyle Rae (incumbent)
Interesting fact: He has sat on city council since 1991.
"Ryerson does have to maintain parking spaces as part of its development agreement," Rae told the Ryersonian.
Chris Reid
Interesting fact: He was born in good ol' Ingersoll, Ont.
"Planting grass, trees and gardens on the tops of buildings not only brings in green space, but it reduces heat in the building in the summer and cleans the air," he told Inside Toronto.com.
Daniel Young
Interesting fact: He's a security gaurd with a paralegal company.
"I used to walk out of my building onto a film set pretty much every day and I don't do that anymore. That's money that's not coming into the city and we need a way to make up that money. A casino would help solve our budget problems," he tells Inside Toronto.com.
