The annual interuniversity sports awards celebration is the only awards banquet that has run for more than 60 years.

“It’s an opportunity for each team to regroup and celebrate not only their success but everybody’s success in interuniversity sports,” Hood-Deshon said.

The annual interuniversity sports awards celebration is the only awards banquet that has run for more than 60 years.

“It’s an opportunity for each team to regroup and celebrate not only their success but everybody’s success in interuniversity sports,” Hood-Deshon said.

The night will feature announcements of individual sucesses in addition to eight major awards including Male and Female Rookie of the Year, Male and Female Athlete of the Year, Male and Female Greatest Contribution to Sports, and Male and Female Greatest Contribution to Campus and Community Life.

Athletics director Ivan Joseph will deliver the keynote address, acknowledging the year’s achievements at Ryerson.

Hood-Deshon said she believes the celebration contributes to Ryerson’s history.

The athletic awards banquet will be held  in the Upper Gym.
