Advertising dollars outweigh the law in Toronto's sign industry


You're walking down the streets of Toronto. It's a nice day. The wind's blowing in your hair, you're enjoying the city's beauty ... and then you see a sign. At first you don't think anything of it --- it's only a sign.

But then you see another, and another and another.

The city does have by-laws against putting up so many signs.

But as David Henry-Lawrence tells us, those by-laws just can't compete with advertising dollars.
