The Ryerson community and really, anyone in the connected world with an interest in the university, saw a tremendous amount of passion from Muhammad Ali Jabbar (President), Nora Loreto (Vice-President of Education ), Chris Drew (Vice-President of Finance and Services) and Alam Ashraful (Vice-President of Student Life and Events)  who did some fine work raising awareness and funds for student issues.

But a lot of that passion came at the expense of decorum, judgment and common sense in 2006-07.

The Ryerson community and really, the community at large, saw a tremendous amount of passion from Muhammad Ali Jabbar (President), Nora Loreto (Vice-President of Education ), Chris Drew (Vice-President of Finance and Services) and Alam Ashraful (Vice-President of Student Life and Events)  who did some fine work raising awareness and funds for student issues.

But a lot of that passion came at the expense of decorum, judgment and common sense in 2006-07.

So whether it was Jabbar’s political views being aired on Facebook, Loreto’s defence of students impersonating journalists at government functions, a seemingly endless amount of time, energy and money focused on protests or the RSU using paid work time to coordinate the theft and destruction of every copy of the Ryersonian, there was no shortage of head-scratching behaviour from a group elected as a face and a voice for ALL students at Ryerson.
